Where will Black music form, continue after Hip-Hop. Will it be a new dance that brings forth a new sound. If the past is an example, every ten years we have a new sound. In the Fifty’s it was Do-Wop and Jazz, Sixty’s Mow-Town Sound, Seventy’s Disco Funk, Eighty’s, Rap, which turn to Hip- Hop in the Ninety’s, gangster Rap and A series of Slide dance music in 2000’s. We are do for a change. Will “The Soul Train and BET Awards give us a clue? In the audience there will be wall to wall recognized talent. Will it come from Detroit or Chicago in the North?, New York or Philly in the East?, or California in the West?, or Texas or New Orleans in the South?, or some where in between? Your guess is as good as mine, but we know that it is coming.
